DokiDoki was the first Precure I had the pleasure of watching, and as such, the characters of the show are rather dear to me. Once they announced Figuarts versions of them, I decided to bite the bullet and get Cure Heart, easily one of my favorite characters in the show. Cure Heart was released in May, 2014 for ¥4,500. While the price is high, a lot of care and detail goes into the Precure sculpts, and despite being animated, can actually be more difficult than a Rider to produce. Regardless, for her price tag, Mana includes eight hands (complete with a hand holding totem pole), her signature heart shaped hand pose, three additional faces, a stiff neck joint, the Magical Lovely Pad, two Love Heart Arrows, a small Sharuru, and an exclusive Tamashii Stage shaped like a heart. Quite an impressive amount of accessories, especially given some recent S.H.Figuarts releases. This is my first time handling a female anime character S.H.Figuart since Den-O’s Hana way back when, and I’m pleasantly surprised. The figure stands well, holds together well, and just looks incredibly accurate. The outrageous hairstyles of the Precure can lead to some balancing issues on some of them, but I’m happy that Cure Heart seems relatively unphased by her giant pony tail. Arrow weapons are big for me, and I’m really happy she can hold the Love Heart Arrow accurately to make a really cool action shot, which I currently have her displayed in. Overall, Cure Heart is an amazing figure. If you’re a fan of DokiDoki, certainly pick her up. It’s a shame the rest are due out via Tamashii Web, but even in a scattered collection, Mana proves to be a fantastic release and one of the most exciting releases of an S.H.Figuarts I’ve had in a while. She’s really neat.
