66Action Kamen Rider Series 3 (Figures 09-12)

Having begun last February, the 66Action Kamen Rider line is a line of 66mm tall fully poseable Kamen Rider figures released by Bandai’s Candy Toy division. Each figure retails for around ¥500 or so, and includes the figure, one or two associated weapons, two sets of hands, and a small base to help stand the figure. The third set features Kamen Rider Gaim Kiwami Arms, Kamen Rider Zangetsu Shin Melon Energy Arms, Kamen Rider Fourze Base States, Kamen Rider Eternal, and Kamen Rider Eternal with his cape. While marketed as a set of four, Kamen Rider Eternal with his cape is a secret figure, and comes packed in the SAME package as normal Eternal. The case ratios seem to be three Gaim Kiwami, three Zangetsu Shin, two Fourze, and two Eternal, with one of those Eternal having the cape, and one not. Gaim Kiwami includes the DJ Gun in Daiken Mode, two holding hands, two relaxed hands, and a stand. Zangetsu Shin includes the Sonic Arrow, two holding hands, two relaxed hands, and a stand. Fourze includes two holding hands, two relaxed hands, and a stand. Eternal includes the Eternal Edge, two holding hands, two relaxed hands, and a stand. Obviously the Eternal with a cape includes all that, plus a cape. All figures include articulation at the head, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and feet, creating a rather dynamic figure for such a small package. Paint applications are pretty great for the price, and the head sculpts are spot on amazing. This line up is great, and leaves a little bit for everyone’s tastes. If you’re looking for a line of figures that are VERY affordable, yet still look great and can pose decent? Look no further. Boxes cost around ¥3,200, which isn’t bad for ten of these little guys. Complete your set, and sell of the extras to recoup cost, or even split it with your friends. A really great line that I hope continues for years to come.
Series 4 is due out in December, 2014 and includes an unknown figure (probably Drive), Kamen Rider Gaim Kachidoki Arms, Kamen Rider Wizard Flame Style, and Kamen Rider Faiz! Really hoping the secret figure is Drive, since I want a 66Action of him ASAP. I have a hard time figuring out what the secret would be in this set though. Probably something moderately insignificant like the Eternal Cape thing. Wizard with a different robe piece or something.
