Nerd Block is a monthly subscription service from the people behind ShirtPunch. Each month, for only $19.99 USD, you receive a box containing a T-Shirt, along with four to six collectibles from a variety of franchises that people love. For you horror genre fans out there, Nerd Block has started the Horror Block, a different $19.99 box that focuses strictly on top horror franchises. They’ve also introduced Arcade Block, yet another $19.99 box that focuses strictly on gaming franchises. Finally, available for the younger is the Nerd Block Jr. for both boys and girls, for $13.99. The Nerd Block Jr. doesn’t have a shirt, but contains a few extra toys, and focuses on kids franchises like My Little Pony, Pokémon, Skylanders, etc. Both are great values, and you always receive more than what you pay for. The fun is in the surprise!

This month is not themed. Themed Blocks will officially begin January, 2015.

• Adam West Batman Plushie
• The Invincible Iron Man Mug
• Boo Slap Watch
• Boba Fett FanWraps

Despite what I said in the video, compared to the last block, this one is rather small in comparison. I’m not sure what tipped the tables to make this block so much smaller compared to the last one, but that doesn’t change the fact that I dig this Block a lot. I dig Deadpool, so the shirt is neat of course. The Batman Plushie is really unique, and I didn’t even know such a thing existed. He’s weird, but I got a kick out of it. Iron Man is my favorite Marvel hero, so the mug totally hit the spot for me. I don’t know if I’ll use it to drink or just to hold pencils or something, but I love it. Finally the Boo Slap Watch is amazing. I’m not big on analog watches, but it’s actually really cool! I don’t know if there were any other designs, but looking down to see that little hiding Boo is adorable. On the plus side, if you pop the watch piece out from the slap bracelet, it actually has the Nerd Block logo etched into the back! That’s probably where most of the budget went for this Block. The Boba Fett FanWraps were there too, but I really don’t care about them. At the end of the day, the Boo Slap Watch won it over for me. This alone was worth the price of the Block.

As always, these aren’t for everyone, but if you’re willing to dish out about $30 a month for a surprise box filled with a bunch of neat (and possibly exclusive!) items, then this is a great thing to do. If you’re a horror fan or have children you want to share the experience with, be sure to check out the Horror Block, Arcade Block, and Nerd Block Jr. subscriptions as well. These things are really fun to me, and I look forward to next month’s Block.

Thanks Nerd Block!
