To coincide with the Telev-Kun special episode of Kamen Rider Gaim, Telev-Kun packed the special Lockseed shown in the special in an issue! Youchien Magazine got in on the promotion as well, including a second special Lockseed also shown in the Telev-Kun special episode.
Each special Fresh Lockseed includes a metallic lock base in the appropriate color, transparent colored plastic in the fruit area, all new stickers on the inside, and an all new recorded sound set. They function just like an SG or Capsule release, but is structured a bit different. The hook is a solid piece, but the flap of the Lockseed is separated from the main base of the lock. Instead, you have to plug in the two sides of the flap connection and plug the flap onto the lock. It’s weird, as this construction wasn’t used for any other Lockseed.
In the February 2014 issue of Televi-Kun (released in December 2013), they included the Fresh Orange Lockseed which transforms Gaim into Fresh Orange Arms. This new Lockseed has a new exterior featuring a transparent orange plastic for the orange and a nice metallic orange painted base of the Lockseed. The Lockseed features an all new sound set. Instead of just slapping “Fresh!” in front of the normal sound set, all the phrases are recorded in an all new voice tone. The Lockseed will cycle through the activation, transformation, attack, and a forth special sound. Squash, Au Lait, and Sparking attacks can all be activated by pressing the button once, twice, and thrice during the attack phase of the Lockseed. The inside stickers are all new, with the bottom featuring a nice shadow of Gaim Orange Arms behind the Daidaimaru.
In the March 2014 issue of Youchien Magazine (released in January 2014), they included the Fresh Pine Lockseed. It presumably will transform Gaim into Fresh Pine Arms, but it wasn’t used in the special. It was only seen briefly at the end of the special. Fresh Pine Lockseed has a new exterior featuring a transparent yellow plastic for the pineapple and a nice golden yellow metallic painted base of the Lockseed. The Lockseed features an all new sound set too, in a similar voice to the Fresh Orange Lockseed. The Lockseed will cycle through the activation, transformation, attack, and a forth special sound. Squash, Au Lait, and Sparking attacks can all be activated by pressing the button once, twice, or thrice during the attack phase of the Lockseed. the inside stickers are all new, with the bottom featuring a nice shadow of Gaim Pine Arms behind the Pine Iron.
Both of these Lockseeds, thanks to the neat new sounds, are worth adding to your collection! The Fresh Orange in particular is worth adding, since it was actually used and featured a new form. Being a magazine pack-in, they were very easy to get a hold of, and shouldn’t cost a whole lot on the secondary market. Hunt them down.
