The fifth group of Kamen Rider 66Action figures have landed, bringing a new selection of Riders, yet another new stand design, and one heck of an awesome figure in Kamen Rider Ryuki. Besides Ryuki, the line up also consists of Mashin Chaser, Kamen Rider OOO TaJaDol Combo, and Kamen Rider Black. Each figure includes a display stand, some additional hands, and weapons when applicable. The set was released in March, 2015 for around ¥500 each. Like most sets, you can purchase a full box of 10 figures at stores like AmiAmi or HLJ.

As mentioned, the stands once again changed for our fifth series. Gone are the two identical v-shapes portions. We now have a v-shape portion for the bottom, and an l-shape portion for the top. Unfortunately this creates a system where the stand can’t be used to actually stand the Rider, meaning all your displays with this stand will be in an aerial pose. Fortunately all four hand slots are now found on the bottom portion of the stand, making for a cleaner appearance. Overall I do enjoy these more, but I wish it was able to be used for standing poses like the old ones.

The figures in this wave are all really solid. Mashin Chaser is my favorite of the wave in terms of look. The figure, despite small, has all the detail of the intricate suit. Included are two additional hands and the Break Gunner. Kamen Rider OOO returns to the series in the fan favorite form of TaJaDol (TaJaDor) Combo. The helmet in particular is done nicely on the figure, capturing the visor look of the form perfectly. Included is one additional hand and the TaJa Spinner, which unfortunately can’t peg into the arm, and sort of flops around. Kamen Rider Ryuki is the star of the set for sure. At the core, you see a small Dragreder and one additional hand. But just like in the show, Dragreder actually splits apart to form the Strike Vent (head), Guard Vent (legs), and Sword Vent (tail) weapons. Each can be used with the figure in some fashion, and that level of play is just absolutely great. Finally, Kamen Rider Black is really basic, but captures the look of the classic Rider perfectly. Included are two additional hands.

Overall, the 66Action line just keeps getting better and better. Ryuki sets the bar high. For a small figure to include a Dragreder that can create all the normal Ryuki weapons is phenomenal. The other three figures are all just as great in their own ways. Series 6 has a lot to live up to after how great this set was.
