Gaming has always been a core element of the Nerd Block Classic, but the company has hence decided to split the world of gamin into a new product: Arcade Block. For the same $19.99 plus shipping as Nerd Block Classic, you get a t-shirt and a boxful of goodies all related to your favorite gaming franchises. What you get inside is random every month, so you never know what franchises or items the Block Crew will touch upon next. For those of you not quite into gaming, you can check out Nerd Block Classic, Horror Block, Sci-Fi Block, Comic Block, or the Nerd Block Jr. (kid franchises) varieties as well. There’s a Block for everyone! Click on the link below to subscribe.

Contents of September 2015’s block, as well as my unboxing video are after the jump.

• Wind Waker T-Shirt
• “The Hero’s Triumph” Canvas Print
• “The Hero’s Shield” Keychain
• Springz Chicken
• Galak-Z 7″ Record
• 5″ Goomba Plush

It’s been a while since I’ve looked at Arcade Block. These videos don’t get the best of views, so I decided to cut most of them from my schedule, even though I’ve still been getting the boxes. This one is a take two on a Zelda themed block. Zelda is a huge part of my life, so I felt compelled to put this video out. While this block wasn’t as focused as the last one, but the contents are well worth the price tag. The shirt is Wind Waker themed. Wind Waker is my favorite Zelda game, so I can’t be more excited for this shirt. Definitely gonna be wearing this one a lot. The next Zelda item is a beautiful canvas print depicting Link pulling the Master Sword from the pedestal in the Lost Woods. Beautiful. Next up is a wonderfully crafted keychain of the Hylian Shield. I’ve had a lot of these, but this one in particular is just crafted beautifully. The little gag gift in this block is a “springz” chicken, that looks remarkably like a Cucco from the series! He’s on an adhesive base so he can attach to your car dashboard or what not and bobble around like a stupid. Really cure. Moving to Mario, to commemorate the 30th anniversary this month, they included a plush Goomba or plush Boo into each block. I got the Goomba which makes me happy, as I have no other Goomba plush. Finally the last item is a 7″ vinyl record of two songs from the new game Galak-Z. Haven’t played the game, nor do I own a turntable to play such a thing on, but I suppose it’s a nice collectible thing. Overall, this block wasn’t the best, but the things included are nicely made and are definitely really enjoyable.

As always, these aren’t for everyone, but if you’re willing to dish out about $30 a month for a surprise box filled with a bunch of neat (and possibly exclusive!) items, then this is a great thing to do. If you’re a horror fan, comic fan or have children you want to share the experience with, be sure to check out the Horror Block, Nerd Block Classic, and Nerd Block Jr. subscriptions as well. These things are really fun to me, and I look forward to next month’s Block.

Thanks Arcade Block!
