Review

I am a huge fan of the Uncharted franchise, and a huge fan of collector’s edition of games. As a toy collector at heart, I love it when collector’d editions come with things like statues, but I also really dig some calmer bonuses like art books, as I love taking a look at the design elements that go into these games. I’d also like to mention that I love steelbook cases. Uncharted 4’s edition was basically made for me, as it combines all three of these things. Priced at $119.99, you’re looking at an additional $60 for all these goodies, so the end worth is totally up to you.

The statue is 12″ in height, towering over the smaller Sideshow Collectibles statue included in Uncharted 3’s Collector’s Edition. The detail, while not AS impressive as the smaller release of yestergame, still looks incredibly well done. The paint scuffs to create the wounded look are all nicely done, and in particular the paint gradient to show the dampness of the bottoms of his pants is nicely done. My favorite touch isn’t even on the statue itself, but the base has a nice gloss over portions of it to emulate the shine of mud. A wonderful touch.

The art book, while small, is a nice collection of character design, character models, and scenery design that I really enjoy. I’m sure these are all pages and pieces present in Dark Horse’s larger scale art book, but it’s a nice little bonus and tease to push people to buy the full book. The steelbook case is nice, as usual, but the artwork on the case’s front and back is simply beautiful. I love it.

Like I said, if the steelbook, small art book, and statue is worth $60 to you, hunt this down. The statue isn’t of the best quality in the world, but it’s still a nice addition to a gaming shelf for sure. Given Amazon Prime’s (or Best Buy’s) 20% discount, I’m more than happy at the price I paid for this.
