Over the course of four months, Wizard’s Dragon Styles, as well as Kamen Rider Beast, slowly began to trickle out into retail stores. Flame Dragon was released in October, 2012. Hurricane Dragon was released in November, 2012. Water Dragon and Kamen Rider Beast was released in December, 2012. Land Dragon was released in January, 2013. Alongside the Rider Hero Series, Bandai decided to release the Rider Phantom Series, a line dedicated to vinyl Phantoms that probably won’t pass two releases. Phoenix Phantom was released alongside Land Dragon in January, 2013. Each vinyl figure stands roughly 175mm tall, and features swivels in the shoulders and waist. Each figure is sculpted really well. Unfortunately, because of the price, a lot of the details aren’t sculpted, so you might need to do some customizing if you really want a full detailed figure. These figures are great for kids. Not only are they affordable, they’re always retail release and really easy to obtain, unlike S.H.Figuarts or more articulated alternatives. I really do hope we get more Phantom releases, but considering how the Rider Zodiarts Series turned out, I’m not expecting anything past maybe Medusa. As for Riders, we know we’re getting Beast Hyper, Wizard Infinity, and the White Wizard coming up in the third quarter. As for these guys, they’re all great additions and a nice affordable way to display and represent the series in your display. Definitely recommended for those on a budget.
