Shoutmon’s Battle Mic
$19.99 at Meijer
Digimon needs role play weapons too! In a strange turn of events, Bandai thought it a good idea to bring a weapon assortment to the Digimon Fusion line, so that your kid (or you I guess) can pretend to be Shoutmon! I picked it up at my local Meijer store for $19.99, but prices may vary by store. Included is a Shoutmon card, DF-005. The toy accurately depicts the microphone wielded by Shoutmon in the show. When the Fusion Fighters logo is pressed, the bottom can slide out so the weapon is around 20 inches long. The sounds are all motion activated, so wave the toy around to hear a few random attack sounds. Press the trigger to start the level one final attack, and swing to hear “Rock and Roller!” followed by an attack sound. Hold down the trigger for a few seconds to hear the standby sound change, let go and swing to hear “Fiery Fastball!” followed by a new attack sound. Finally hold the trigger down until the standby sound changes again, let go, and swing to hear “Bellow Blaster!” to hear the final, most powerful attack sound. While the toy doesn’t offer a whole lot of play, it’s a nice size for the price, and if your kid (or yourself) loves Shoutmon, they’ll probably really like the toy.
