Odin, the quintessential god of the Rider War, now in S.H.Figuarts form. Odin released in June, 2013 for ¥4,725. It may seem pricy at first, but when you see just what Odin has to offer, the price will definitely sink in. Odin takes a fantastically designed Rider and translates it into what could be a perfect figure. Despite the bulky shoulder armor, they made it manuverable to where it hardly gets in the way. Just everything about this impresses me. Goldphoenix reminds me a lot of Darkwing, except a bird, and awesome. He has articulated feet, head, and wings, to create a variety of poses with him alone. Included with the set is the Goldvisor, the Goldshield (which becomes Goldphoenix’s back and tail), two Goldsabre (which become Goldphoenix’s top wings), a handle for the Goldshield, an alliterate gauntlet for attaching the Goldshield, an attachment to connect Goldphoenix to Odin, a Tamashii Stage port that can fit inside Goldphoenix for stage work, nine additional hands, and seven Advent cards. Don’t forget he also includes an Odin themed Tamashii Stage, just like some other Ryuki releases. If you’re a fan of Ryuki or Dragon Knight at all, don’t skip this. As a retail release, he’s a bit easier to find then some other releases, and if the price is right, you get so much for your buck. I thought it was hard to rival Knight or Knight Survive, but Odin certainly does. Simply a fantastic figure that should be in everyone’s collection.
