NOTE: This is pretty much a copy/paste of my last Key Pack review…

Just like Japan, we get our own Ranger Key Sets distributed at retail to help build our collections. These can be found at Toys R Us and Kmart for $7.99, Target for $8.99, and Amazon.com for $9.99. Each Key Pack unfortunately only contains three Ranger Keys, meaning teams will not be complete. In fact, Bandai has stated at Toy Fair 2014 that there is only a little over 60 Keys planned for retail, with more planned for things like conventions. Whether this pans out remains to be seen, but it’s shaping up that completing a set of Bandai America Ranger Keys will be just as annoying as Bandai Japan. Sets usually consisting of the three core males of the team, with some teams changed around for whatever reason. The second set of  seven Key Packs are:

S.P.D.:
– Red
– Blue
– Green

Ninja Storm:
– Red
– Blue
– Yellow

Time Force:
– Red
– Blue
– Green

In Space:
– Red
– Blue
– Black

Turbo:
– Red
– Blue
– Green

Zeo:
– Red
– Blue
– Yellow

Mighty Morphin:
– Red
– Blue
– Black

The Keys aren’t a whole lot different than those found in toys, but those that are found in toys tend to be painted just a little bit different than the ones found in the packs, for better or worse. I’m a huge fan of the little Keys, so I really dig each and every release. It’s just unfortunate that they are only in packs of three, and getting full teams looks to be getting slimmer and slimmer every time Bandai opens their mouths. At $7.99-$9.99 a piece, we’re paying prices VERY similar to Japan. Considering our Keys are smaller, it’s really a shame that we can’t get at least five in a pack like Japan. That’s not to say the releases are bad, it’s just a shame we won’t be able to line our toy rooms like the Megaforce Command Center.
