Review

For whatever reason, Bandai decided it would be a great idea to bundle two completely unrelated Ghost Eyecons together into a set. Maybe they didn’t have faith that Beethoven (a form that will most likely hardly be used) could sell well on its own, so they bundled it with a highly used Specter form. Either way, the Beethoven and Nobunaga Ghost Eyecon Set is here, featuring, you guessed it, the DX Beethoven Ghost Eyecon and the DX Nobunaga Ghost Eyecon, mainly belonging to Kamen Rider Ghost and Kamen Rider Specter respectively. Each can be used in the Ghost Driver to active new transformation and attack sounds. Also included are two Ganbarizing cards featuring Beethoven Damashii and Nobunaga Damashii. The set was released in November, 2015 for ¥1,200.

Both Ghost Eyecons generate a purple LED in the Ghost Driver and make sounds that range from catchy to okay. The Eyecons themselves look pretty nice, with Nobunaga especially being a nice purple color. Beethoven is unfortunately relatively boring gray color that, like the form, is rather forgettable. The included Ganbarizing cards are more exciting for me than the actual toys.

If you like the jingles, like the forms, or just have to have all the Ghost Eyecons, then you might as well go after this set, as the price difference between a DX release and a Capsule or SG release is negligible at retail price. Like all Ghost Eyecons, they look decent on display, but unfortunately lacks a playability to make these toys memorable.
