In Japan, Yo-kai Medals are distributed not only through toys, events, and gashapon machines, but also via blind bags sold at toy stores all over the country. Hasbro has decided to follow suit and release their own Yo-kai Medal blind bags for the English Yo-kai Watch toy line. Each blind bag contains three (supposedly) random Yo-kai Medals. In total, there are 44 Yo-kai Medals to collet in Series 1. Each medal has a specified rarity ranging from 1/24 to 4/24. Each pack retails for $2.99.

I would like to point out that despite the packs being presumed random, at the time of this posting, I have gotten the pack containing Rhyth, Baddinyan, and Steppa THREE times out of the nine packs I’ve purchased. Getting doubles is expected, but to get the same exact pack three times after nine purchases is pretty insane. I’m not sure what this says about distribution. I’m probably just unlucky.
