April’s Mythical Pokémon of the month is Jirachi, the Wish Pokémon. Jirachi’s Clip ‘n’ Carry Poké Ball and plush hit Toys R Us shelves half a month early, so before April hits, let’s take a look at Jirachi! Both are Toys R Us Exclusive. The plush retails for $16.99 while the Clip ‘n’ Carry Poké Ball retails for $14.99.

The Clip ‘n’ Carry Poké Ball this time around is a Premiere Ball, which I enjoy a lot, mostly because it’s not another Great Ball. The pearlescent finish on the Premiere Ball really makes the white pop, and it’s nice to have something a little bit new. The Jirachi figure itself is small as always, but looks great. Considering Jirachi looks like a star, the pearlescent finish on the figure is fitting, and makes it shine in the right light. As always the details and paint applications are all wonderful.

The plush is great as always, with the crushed velvet material giving the plush that same pearlescent finish seen throughout the line. Unfortunately the toy can’t really stand, since it’s in a standing position, unlike Mew and Celebi that are in a sitting position. Regardless, if you can find a way to prop it up, Jirachi is nothing short of adorable.

As usual with these things, if you’re a fan of Jirachi, make sure you hunt these down. The figure is great, the plush is great, and I look forward to the hunt for Darkrai in May at GameStop. That should be fun.
