Unboxing: Arcade Block – May, 2015

Gaming has always been a core element of the Nerd Block Classic, but the company has hence decided to split the world of gamin into a new product: Arcade Block. For the same $19.99 plus shipping as Nerd Block Classic, you get a t-shirt and a boxful of goodies all related to your favorite gaming franchises. What you get inside is random every month, so you never know what franchises or items the Block Crew will touch upon next. We’re back with another Arcade Block! As I mention in the video, Arcade Block is my favorite of the boxes, and usually doesn’t disappoint. Even in a dull box, there is something to make it worth while. I’m not huge on the shirt this month, since I’m only a casual Final Fantasy fan. Same goes to the Fox Hound hat and the Stick of Truth figure. That doesn’t stop them from being pretty cool collectibles though. The jar is my favorite of the items. It’s modeled pretty close to an actual jar from Zelda, and is just a nice little thing to display with my Zelda related trinkets. I loved the Parappa games as a kid, and the magnet has already found a place on my fridge. As a huge Mario Kart fan, I love the sign, even if I don’t know where to put it. Overall, while not the best box, it was incredibly enjoyable. Like I said, Arcade Block doesn’t disappoint.

As always, these aren’t for everyone, but if you’re willing to dish out about $30 a month for a surprise box filled with a bunch of neat (and possibly exclusive!) items, then this is a great thing to do.
