It’s been a while, but we’re finally taking a look at the fourth entry into the 66Action Kamen Rider series! For those that don’t know, 66Action is a line of Candy Toys produced by Bandai that are poseable, slightly stylized figures that are, you guessed it, 66mm tall. Each figure includes some additional hands, a weapon when possible, and a stand that seems to change every release. Volume 04 brings us Kamen Rider Drive Type Speed, Kamen Rider Gaim Kachidoki Arms, Kamen Rider Wizard Flame Style, and Kamen Rider Faiz. Each figure sells for about ¥500 in Japan, and can be found at various online stores either individually or in boxes of ten.

The stands included with these figures are actual legitimate stands, unlike the small planks included with Volumes 01-03. Unfortunately to save money, they just produced one singular unit that holds two  hands that can plug into each other to create a stand. This means to store all four hands, you have to have hands hanging off the side of the vertical portion of the stage, which makes for an awful display. While I like the concept and how useful they can be, you’re forced to store the hands elsewhere if you want a nice display.

Drive is a nice litle figure, and having been released in December, it was great to have a 66Action release only a few months after the show started. Includede with Drive are four additional hands as well as the Handle-Ken weapon. Gaim Kachidoki Arms is my favorite of the bunch, and one of my favorite forms in general. Between the bulky armor present on the figure, and the fact he has his iconic flags, this is definitely the winner of the bunch. Included with Kachidoki are four additional hands, the DJ Gun in Daitaiken Mode, and of course, his two flags. Wizard is a complicated suit to pull off given his robe, but similar to Kachidoki’s hip armor, they made it work. It creates a bit of a weird outline, but I can’t think of a better way to pull it off. The color of red is a bit off, but the sculpt is pretty fun regardless. Included are four additional hands and the WizarSwordGun in Sword Mode. Finall Faiz is another great release. I’m a huge fan of Faiz’s head sculpt for this one. Given the small scale, detail can be hard, but 66Action pulls off the head sculpts nearly every time. Included with Faiz are four additional hands and the Faiz Edge.

Overall, while some figures may have a problem here or there, this line up of four is great. It’s a nice mixture of different series and designs that create a nice mix of some of my favorite designs. While the stands are very obnoxious to me, this design didn’t stick around, and I don’t plan on using the stands anyway. If you’re a fan of any of these guys, I definitely recommend them.
